ENGINEERING TEAM

William P. Corish, P.E.

Bill has been actively engaged in the practice of mechanical engineering since 1985. After graduating from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, he was employed by Clark-Smith Associates, P.C. as a mechanical engineer and project manager. In 1990, Bill moved to Maine and was employed by Enterprise Engineering, Inc. (EEI) as a Senior Project Engineer. Bill resigned from EEI in 2001 to move back to Virginia and "hang out his shingle" as Corish Engineering.

Prior to starting Corish Engineering, Bill performed a leadership role in over 100 engineering study and design projects. Many projects included construction period services such as bid and change order pricing analysis, response to contractor design queries, product submittal review, observation of construction progress, and witnessing of system commissioning. The following links will direct you to brief descriptions of many of those projects.

Marc A. Swett, E.I.T.

Marc brings a breadth of design and construction experience to Corish Engineering. He has held mechanical engineering positions in the high-technology manufacturing sector as well as the consulting field. Prior to accepting full time employment with Corish Engineering, Marc worked for Thermo Electron Corporation as a technical services engineer. Marc has also installed, repaired and serviced conventional mechanical systems as a field technician for heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) and water well drilling companies.

In 1997, Marc earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire. In 1999, he began working with Bill Corish and other engineers in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Enterprise Engineering, Inc. (EEI). While at EEI, Marc performed the bulk of the mechanical engineering and design tasks on 16 military and commercial fuel facility projects. His project work at EEI included design of the following systems:

  • Pump House & Petroleum Distribution Systems
  • Storage Tank Appurtenances & Piping Systems
  • Receipt Systems for Pipeline, Tanker, Barge, Rail, & Truck
  • Aviation Fuel Hydrant Systems
  • Truck & Rail Loading Systems
  • Fuel Filtering and Additive Injection Systems
  • Service Station Fuel and Vapor Recovery Systems
  • Fire Protection Systems

In addition to his design duties at EEI, Marc provided construction observation and commissioning support on many projects, to include development of operation and maintenance manuals. He also authored specifications for a pipeline integrity evaluation using an inline inspection tool (smart pig) and performed piping flexibility and fluid flow analyses (steady state and transient).

Marc's work experience with Corish Engineering dates back to February of 2003. He accepted a full-time position in October of 2005. Marc holds an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certificate and is licensed in the State of Maine as a Master Well Driller.
