BOILER REPLACEMENT |
| Location |
Office/Apartment Building, Front Royal, Virginia |
| Description |
Project to replace the oil-fired space heating boiler for a 6800 square foot office/apartment building. The boiler, which supplies a hot water radiator system, was aging and oversized. The client wanted to replace it with a modern efficient unit, "right-sized" for the building load. We performed heating load calculations to select the new boiler. Also recommended addition of wall insulation in one room, reducing energy use and improving temperature control by balancing envelope U-factor amongst rooms. |
