FROM: 107 ARW/CEC
SUBJECT: Letter of Appreciation

1. I wish to extend my sincere appreciation for the outstanding performance and contributions made by Mr. William Corish, Enterprise Engineering, Inc. during his past three (3) years of KC-135R conversion construction. Bill is an excellent engineer with a very thorough and comprehensive fuel system knowledge which I truly respect. Bill was asked to facilitate a very complex set of changes in a short period of time in the midst of the Jet Fuel Storage Complex project. Bill displayed a tireless sense of dedication and attention to detail, along with a selfless display of wanting to service the Air National Guard.

2. The construction projects directly supporting the conversion are substantially completed. Being in the position I am in, I was able to see first hand how the efforts of Mr. Corish contributed to our successful completion of this milestone in the 107th's long history. It has been my distinct pleasure to work with many fine individuals, including Bill.

3. Please endorse this letter and forward it up through the appropriate channels so this individual may be properly recognized for his efforts.

Gentlemen:

Our one-year open-end contract for Miscellaneous Mechanical / Electrical Design Services ended 29 August 1987. Your design and engineering services for the projects awarded under this contract have been excellent. The important factors included in your services were your ability to meet our design schedules despite setbacks caused by unforeseen or changing requirements, and your willingness to accommodate our strict design review requirements. The latter was of particular concern to us because of our safety concerns in explosives manufacturing. You responded to these concerns with competence and great care.

In particular, project engineer Mr. Ben Smith's prompt response to the immediate need for the design of "Relocate AP Grinding Equipment to Building 686" is appreciated; as is Mr. Bill Corish's concern and timely assistance with project "Replace Heating Control System, Buildings 727, 728, 729 and 731", after the receipt of unsuccessful bids.

Mr. Brian Huddy's design for "Replace Asbestos Piping in Building 497" provided us with an innovative solution of zoning the building for easy location of the asbestos pipe insulation to be removed. In addition he completed this project ahead of schedule and well before the end of Fiscal Year 87. As a result, our station was able to obtain available end-of-year Navy OSHA Funds for its construction.

We appreciate the cooperation and helpfulness of Mr. Ben Smith, the project manager for this open-end contract. Thank you for a job well done. We are looking forward to your continued interest in our design contracts.
